Bordeaux is coming from a 0:1 narrow loss at home against Toulouse on Saturday evening in a very weird game overall. Visitors stood with a player less from 25th minute, but the hosts got their players excluded too, when Poundje got a red card in 34th minute, while the visitors while awarded a penalty which they missed in the next minute.
Even though the game itself was quite equal, with rare real goalscoring chances, but the visitors still pulled out three pointer with a goal at the beginning of the second half. After this defeat, team is still at decent eight position with only three points below St Etienne which is fourth at the table. Even though they still have a chances of qualifying to Europe via league, they would surely be happier to secure it earlier with league cup competition and in case of a victory against PSG, they would be really close to get it. Young left back Poundje (9/0) is suspended, while strikers Diabate (15/7) and Jussie (15/5) are once again unavailable.
PSG, on the other side, is coming from a very difficult 2:1 victory away to Ajaccio on Saturday evening. Home side took the lead already after sixth minute, while the visitors had problems creating true goalscoring chances but still managed to get the three pointer with goals from Lavezzi and Matuidi.
During the same round, Monaco slipped with a draw, so the difference between PSG and second placed Monaco rose to five points, as the team now looks like a rock solid candidate for the title, as third placed Lille suffered defeat. The team remained in all competitions so far, as they previous won over Brest 5:2 in French Cup, while their target in this game is nothing less but getting a spot in the semifinals of League Cup competition. Coach Blanc might refresh up his squad a bit, while talented attacking midfielder Rabiot (17/1) will be out after suffering injury on Saturday. Right back Jallet (8/1) is already long term absentee.
PSG has won last three matches against Bordeaux.
PSG will surely start the game with some of their star players in offensive line and once the team starts pressing, they will surely find a way to score. Whenever they score, this should open up the game as Bordeaux simply has nothing to lose and will also try to find their rhythm in offensive phases.
