After the drama of the FA Cup, league football returns throughout the Football League this weekend. We have a 14/1 accumulator betting tip for the action.
Accumulator Betting Tip
Everton to beat Norwich 2/5:
We start at Goodison and an Everton side who have gained many admirers this season. Martinez’s men have lost just one of their last thirteen matches and have lost just once at Goodison this season as they look like real contenders for the Champions League. They take on a Norwich side with just one win in their last seven matches and who sit just three points off the relegation zone. Norwich have won just twice on the road this season and up against a strong Everton team a home win should be on the cards here.
Middlesbrough to beat Blackpool 13/10:
Our Championship fixture sees Middlesbrough travel to the West coast to face a Blackpool side in turmoil. Paul Ince’s men are without a win in seven and have lost six in that time. A foulmouthed tweet by forward Michael Chopra in the week won’t have helped and things are looking bad for the Tangerine’s after a bright start. Boro’s decision to change manager finally looks to be paying off with Karanka’s men unbeaten in four in the league. With Blackpool struggling on and off the pitch, Boro should take full advantage and pick up three points with the result taking them above their opponents.
Brentford to beat Port Vale 1/2:
Brentford were going great guns under Uwe Rosler and his departure to Wigan could have toppled their rampant charge up the league but it really hasn’t with the Bees looking good at the top of League One. They are unbeaten in thirteen matches with an astonishing twelve wins in that time. They’ve won their last seven at home and are currently four points clear of the Play-Offs. It hasn’t been a bad year for Port Vale who sit two points off the Play-Offs. However, they have lost their last two on the road, conceding six goals in the process and against one of the league’s best sides, it should be three on the spin.
Leyton Orient to beat Carlisle 3/5:
From first to second in League One and Leyton Orient. The Os are just a point adrift of Bretford and are in decent form. They’ve lost just one of their last eight matches and just twice at home this season. They play Carlisle, who are just three points clear of the drop zone. With just one win in their last five and no wins in five on the road, a professional performance from Orient should see them pick up another good win.
Oxford to beat Portsmouth Evens:
Our League Two selection sees Oxford host Portsmouth. Oxford are currently sixth but just three points off an automatic promotion spot. Before two recent defeats they were unbeaten in six matches and they will want to return to winning ways. They will be hopeful of doing so against a Portsmouth side with just one win in their last ten matches. They haven’t won away from home in their last seven and are struggling. Oxford should take full advantage and relight their promotion push.
