Football Treble Betting Tip for Saturday By Andrew Clark

The FA Cup third round takes center stage on Saturday and we have picked two teams from that competition and a League Two side to make up our Saturday treble tip.

Our tip for Saturday takes a Premier League side to bounce back from defeat last time out and a rejuvenated Championship side at home against lower league opposition as well as a clash from League Two where the form side in the table are expected to beat the bottom club.

Saturday’s Football Treble Tip:

Wigan to beat MK Dons

Since their new manager came in Wigan have vastly improved and that was illustrated with a fantastic win at Derby County on New Year’s Day. It’s now five unbeaten for Wigan and they can see off League One MK Dons here. The Dons were soundly beaten by Brentford last time out and have lost seven of their last nine away matches against League One opposition.

Newcastle to beat Cardiff

Newcastle’s great run has been halted of late with two straight defeats but they will fancy their chances of going far in this competition. Before the 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal they had won four and drawn one in the previous five. Cardiff will be concentrating more on the relegation fight and despite having a new manager should see be beaten here. They have lost four and drew two of their last six away, scoring just one goal in that time.

Newport County to beat Northampton

Newport sit top of the League Two form table and have won their last five home matches in the league, scoring two goals or more on all five occasions. Northampton are bottom of the table and struggle to score goals away from home. They have netted just once in their last six away and given Newport’s strong goalscoring record at home this should be a winning conclusion to Saturday’s betting tip.
